    Egg Plate / Serving Platter

    Up for auction is a vintage Frankoma Brown Egg Plate or Serving Platter, which can hold a total of 16 eggs.  The plate measures slightly over 11.5 inches across in diameter, and stands slightly over 1.5 inches tall.  Stamped onto the bottom of the plate is: "FRANKOMA" and "819", indicating that it was produced by Frankoma Pottery, which was located in Sapulpa, Oklahoma.
    The egg plate is in great vintage condition, with minimal soiling and wear, and no cracks, chips, scratches, stains, discoloration, repairs, nor any other damage that I can detect.  However, there is a small raised area to the top surface of the piece, which appears to be the result of a bubble that would have been created during the making and firing of the piece, and as a result the glaze has worn off.  I have tried to document this flaw in the last photograph.
