    Description

Vintage Frankoma Gracetone Pottery Orbit Cinnamon Glaze Earthenware
    24 Oz Gravy Boat #2S
    Very Hard to Find Pattern
Bottom of Gravy Boat is Marked: GRACETONE 2S
    Manufactured from 1959-1967.
The "Orbit" Pattern Features an Embossed Circular Design Made to Resemble Orbiting Planets. Orbit was Produced in Four Glazes -Cinnamon, Pink Champagne, Aqua, and Gunmetal. This Piece is the Cinnamon Glaze.
Frankoma purchased Synar Ceramics in 1957 and converted the plant to produce in the Frankoma manner. John Frank designed the all new Orbit dinnerware pattern for the new venture. Unfortunately the company did not meet expectations, so Frank closed it in May, 1962. Frank's associate J.C. Taylor purchased the company, along with its assets, to continue production with a reduced number of items. He eventually decided to stop production entirely in February, 1967.
VERY GOOD CONDITION - I find a couple glaze flake surface only flea bites along the edge of the handle on the gravy boat - very common to this sort of pottery. No other nicks, chips, cracks, flea bites, or damage.
Gravy boat measures approx. 8" L from end of handle to opposite side x 7 5/8" across from spout to spout x 3 3/4" H.
These would make a great addition to your collection!
I am going to be listing many more pieces of Gracetone Orbit in the Cinnamon glaze over the next week or so, so check back if you are looking for more of this pattern. I have acquired a HUGE set, complete with just about every piece imaginable, so it will take me a few days to work through it.
If you have any questions please ask.
    Thanks for Looking!
