This listing is for a Vintage Child's Miniature China Tea Set with Small Wood Wall Display Cabinet. This tea set was made in Japan.
This was my mom's tea set when she was a child; she gave this tea set to me and I played with it as a child. While it belonged to me, the teapot broke and could not be repaired. Therefore, this tea set does not come with the teapot. There are two glued tea cups and 1 glued larger plate. There are manufacturer's defects on all the dishes in this tea set.
The larger plates have some scratches and stains from use. The silver line along the edges on all of these plates is partially worn off. There are small chips along the bottom rims on all of these plates. One of these plates was broken and glued back together; there is a large chip in the bottom rim in line with where the plate was glued back together. These plates are approximately 3 13/16 inches in diameter.
The smaller saucer plates have some scratches and stains from use. The silver line along the edges on all of these plates is partially worn off. There are small chips along the bottom rims on all of these plates; one plate has more chips and bigger chips along the bottom rim and this same plate has 2 small chips along the top rim. These plates are approximately 3 inches in diameter.
The tea cups have some scratches and stains from use. The silver line along the edges on all of these cups is partially worn off. There are small chips along the bottom rims on all of these cups. One cup has a shallow chip along the top rim. Two of these cups were broken and glued back together. These cups are approximately 2 inches in top diameter, 1 1/16 inches tall and 2 3/8 inches wide including the handles.
The sugar dish has some scratches and stains from use. The silver lines on the handles and top edge of this sugar dish have been partially worn off. There is a small chip along the top edge of this sugar dish. This sugar dish is approximately 2 inches tall without the lid, 2 7/16 inches tall with the lid, 3 inches wide (including the handles) and 1 11/16 inches deep.
The creamer dish has some scratches and stains from use. The silver lines on the handle and top edge of this creamer dish have been partially worn off. The creamer dish is approximately 1 15/16 inches tall, 2 7/16 inches wide (including the handle) and 1 7/16 inches deep.
The small wood wall display cabinet has scratches, nicks, stains and some chips from use; there is one larger chip on the back of this cabinet right next to the left hole you can see at the top of this cabinet. There are some holes from small nails that were used to attach this cabinet to the wall. The door on the bottom storage space opens rather easily; the door does rub as it is being opened and it has a squeak. This wood cabinet is approximately 11 15/16 inches tall by 10 1/8 inches wide by 2 1/2 inches deep.
