    Description

THIS is the dress type we often see for the early age of photography, even tintypes. So formal with the double breasted front and all the fancy lush trim. Its completely lined.  Suitable, if altered, for a big doll such as JUMEAU  or Bru. I know because I used to do that for my own pieces. Wonderful condition for its age. Seam issue from hanger and minimal small places. Which I would not want to see with repair. Better provenance if untouched. Money too.
Very rare piece from our AMERICAN past history. The exquisite beauty of finely detailed work for a long ago little girl
Important treasure, fashioned from the hands of our ancestors. It is almost beyond my imagination to think of the story that it could tell. We will be offering our important collection of these early treasures of clothing from the time of our early society’s founding.
Joanee bought them and used them in the ‘90s when she was sculpting her ,000 dolls. They enjoyed international sales, most from the famous SUZANNES  glorious DOLL SHOP in Phoenix.
Here we are offering a page from 1800’s life with this lovely design…see the flared skirt. Please enlarge and look at the way it is cut and pieced together. So much WORK, how did they DO that?.  Amazing and so precious to have and look at.. Please notice the beautifully hand sewn button holes, all lined and some of the seams are French seams.  So many hand stitches. Exquisite.
It would make a stunning addition to your room, framed, love to see it on your child as an important memento in a portrait. Joanee has kept them in a closet, spending regular intervals oohing and ahhh-ing over them, now they need to be shared and maybe be YOUR treasures.
"For those born in the right decade or with the right amount of inspiration. For those who see years of love in fraying threads,
and who know how to tie a room, and a story together."
As our name indicates, auctions are our own heirlooms as we have no heirs. Everything is as is and as shown so look at the pictures closely because almost everything will be old and having its own history even beyond ours. We will gladly accept returns if we err drastically in the description, we are committed to making you as happy as we have been owning this treasure.
