Description
It’s binary since there are exactly 2 rows of holes, and digital because you use your fingers to move the pins. It makes no difference if you use it horizontally or vertically because the pins identify “Hours” or “Minutes”, which also makes it interchangeable as to which row of holes you choose for each pin. Basically this stops the clock by marking the time.Cooking? Mark the time you want to take it out of the oven.
Making a service call? Mark the time you get out to go inside.
Working on a project? Mark your starting time for later.
Mark the time you set the bread dough out to rise.
When is the next medicine to be taken.
What time is the cable guy coming?
Set it on the coffee table when the insurance salesman comes.
I use it when I glue wood together. A glue-up should be left alone for at least 30 min. When I have it the way I want, I mark 30 minutes ahead from that point so I will insure a good start for the joining.
No batteries required, both standard and metric, and works for left hander as well as right hander. You might be aggravated since the minutes must be rounded to the nearest five (5) minute interval, but if I made it wider for more holes it would wind up looking more like an abacus.
But do let me know if that would suit your needs better…
Caution around small children that put things into their mouth…
