Antique Miniature Child's Doll Artisan 1900s England Sterling Silver with Gold Wash Tea Set Box
This is a
n enchanting, very old
doll sized sterling silver  and gold wash tea set, with eight pieces including a long, slender serving tray, teacups and plates for two, as well as a tea pot, creamer and sugar jar. It dates back to the early 1900s, and has English hallmarks HM, Anchor, Passant Lion, Z. It all comes with its custom leather box. It was purchased by the former owner at auction in England. Great set for doll collectors!  Comes in its original leather box, lined in silk.
This wonderful little miniature was from a collection, 40 years in the making.  Every collection has a story and this one is well, just wonderfully special. I was surprised to see such a tiny home with so many minis, the story behind the person, is that she lived a grand life in a large home, she traveled the world in search for artisan miniatures and boy did she find them.  This collection is so vast, it features miniatures from artisans
Herbillon, Alan Barnes, John Hodgson, Targoni, Ligia, Wonnacott, Jim Irish, William Robertson, Cristina Noriega, Harry Smith, Ernie Levy, Robert Dawson, Keith Bougourd, Maritza Moran, Neil Batson, Susanne Russo, Acquisto, Renee Isabelle, Kupjack, O'meara, Obadiah Fisher, EM Silver, Marcia Backstrom, Wee Forest Folk, Henry Staring-Egberts, Tricia Street, Le Chateau, Ana Felipe, Christopher Whitford, Christine Dell'Anna, Paula Gilhooley, Almudena Gonzalez and more.  All of these artisans have been amazing to discover, but what was so 'wonderfully' special to me, was in the last years of her life, she sold her estate, moved to a small home and surrounded herself with all of the things that made her happy...her miniatures and  I know she would want each piece to find a wonderful new collection to reside within.  It will take a few weeks to do all the listings, I will have Buy It Now items as well.  Any questions, please don't hesitate to ask.
