1920 Ontario Gold Token Ring + Leather Box. Rare Jacoby 9K medal/jewelry/charm.

Here is a rare Ontario Gold token ring for sale. This unique piece was made by Jacoby Bros. It comes with an antique leather and silk presentation box. Ontario Gold issues are quite rare and desirable. This curious set is a great way to own a pleasing example.
The token and ring were made by Jacoby Brothers of solid 9 karat yellow gold. This ring is believed to have been made in the early 20th century. The curved token is smaller than a dime and has a diameter of about 13mm. Ring is size 3.25 and weighs 1.2 grams.
The token is catalogued by Ronald Greene and Mike Locke as a 1920 Ontario One Dollar Nominal #840. It has an Indian Head obverse surrounded by six stars. The obverse side is die 1049 and shows lamp, RD 12 and 9K hallmarks. The 1018 reverse features an Ontario shield. Token has a plain edge and dates from the given year of 1920. The ring band has additional hallmarks. Nice!
This gold piece is not denominated is not legal tender; just a very rare old token.
This ring sports an elegant design and lustrous gold color. Piece is in great shape but does show signs of wear from use as jewelry. Perhaps this small charm was a child's ring. What an opportunity to collect such a rare and unusual issue!
The presentation box was issued by Dimmer of Liverpool. This ring case features a hand finished leather exterior and is lined in silk and velvet. Interior logo is vivid and attractive. Brass hinge and pushbutton latch are correct and sturdy. This impressive ring box dates from the late 19th to early 20th century. It displays great function, authentic patina and bit of honest wear. Superb!
